SPT Hammer Energy Calibration
ASTM D4633 – 10
EN ISO 22476-3
AGES is the only geotechnical company in the Philippines that calibrates all of its SPT hammers.
This optimizes saving benefits to Clients.
The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) recommends standardizing the measured SPT N value.
The SPT Analyzer measures the energy transferred into an instrumented SPT rod.
This permits the adjustment of the measured N- value to the normalized N60 for standard 60% energy transfer into the rods. Compensating for widely variable efficiencies from different SPT rigs and hammer types improves the reliability of soil strength estimates used in geotechnical designs.
BENEFITS
- Adjust SPT N-value to N60
- Improve reliability of SPT N-values
- Checks hammer energy
- Verify drilling rig performance for increased design confidence

LOW COST IN-SITU SOIL TESTING FOR HOUSING PROJECTS
HOUSING projects are usually constrained with a smaller financial budget than other structures.
AGES provides an affordable soil testing alternative by introducing the Swedish Weight Sounding Test (SWST).
Widely use in Japan and some parts of Europe, the SWST is an in-situ soil testing apparatus that is an alternative or complimentary test to the Standard Penetration Test (SPT). Soil profiles are quickly obtained from the SWST providing invaluable information on the stratigraphy of the soil.
BENEFITS
- Portable, ideal for inaccessible regions
- Low-cost
- Fast
- Continuous soil-profile, every 0.25 meters
- Preliminary or complimentary test for SPT
- Direct correlation with SPT N-values
